Congratulations to Mrs Elizabeth Mataka

Elizabeth MatakaThe National AIDS Council wishes to congratulate Zambia National AIDS Network Executive Director Mrs. Elizabeth Mataka for her illustrious and excellent work in the fight against HIV and AIDS. It is her commitment to the well being of mankind that she has now received global recognition, hence her appointment as Vice Chair of the Global Fund Board on HIV/AIDS, TB and Malaria and within a short space of time, Special envoy for the United Nations secretary General on HIV and AIDS for Africa.

Prior to the two appointments, Mrs. Mataka was member of the National AIDS Council Board representing the civil society in Zambia. She was also a member of the Country Coordinating Mechanism for the Global Fund.
